This article/video combo was very interesting to listen to and very inspirational. In the video a couple things she said stood out to me. One of the things was "what are the things you care about?" and another was "what makes you come alive?" The things I care about drive me to live a good fun life and those things make me feel alive. Those two questions connect with each other very closely in my opinions. From the article two quotes that stood out to me were "You want to feel that it serves some purpose greater than a paycheck or a position." and "Having a sense of purpose in your work acts a little like the energy of light." When working you should always feel like you are doing your job for a reason, not just for the money. If you have a good time working, people around you may feed off that energy also. Being a positive spirit at work would be a win for you and everyone around you.

This podcast by Brian Buffini involves him talking to a woman, named Alison Levine, who was on the first women ever to climb Mount Everest. Her story is one everyone should know about, with all she has gone through to reach the top. There were many things I can take from this podcast because of all the obstacles she has jumped to complete her goal. One being just being a woman in general, no one believed a group of women could climb to the top of the tallest point in the world, and she captained that group all the way. Another thing was she was born with health problems and she never let those get in the way of her dreams. One last thing that stood out to me was that no one else she was close with ever was into these kind of activities, but she stayed with it anyway. She did not care what anyone else thought about her because she is a determined woman who will do anything to reach her dreams. It is a way that everyone should live by including myself. I believe it is an awful reality that technology is going to take over most human jobs sooner than later. We, as humans, do not deserve to be just kicked out of the work force, but unfortunately it is the harsh reality. Many workers will soon be out of a job because of a computer. It does not even feel real to think about. I work at Arby's and I feel like it could have a direct impact on where I work, because fast food places are going to start using more and more technology until finally there are no human workers besides maybe one or two. Thank God that my Arby's is very behind the times though, it may be awhile for the tech wave to hit it.
